Don't you think we see ICC world events more often than before? The cricket world was talking about how Australia trumped India in India to win the ICC 50-over Cricket World Cup last year until recently. Now, it is again an ICC world event, starting on the 2nd of June 2024, which is the ICC T20 World Cup hosted in the West Indies and the USA. Curiosity is there as never before as 20 top teams will be competing to lift the trophy on the 29th of June 2024. Cricket fans will see many heroes, nail-biting cricket matches, and surprises throughout this month. We will have a look at how the top 10 ranked teams consist of and some of their key players.

India, who have been one of the continuous top performers in T20 World Cups, come to this series as the top-ranked team. They have experienced players such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Suryakumar Yadav, and Jasprit Bumrah.

Australia hold the 2nd rank of T20 men's team rankings, and defending T20 champions England are coming in as the 3rd. The 50-over champions, Australia, have been in top form in all three formats, and England happened to find their rhythm just in time as they performed well against Pakistan in their home conditions.

Co-hosts West Indies come in as the 4th ranking team, and home conditions will give them a favourable chance to have a good shot at the T20 Cup. Ever-stable New Zealand come in as the 5th rankers, and experienced Kane Williamson will lead them. They might not have played T20s regularly, but many of their players performed well in the recently finished IPL. Pakistan come in as the 6th ranking team, and they have shown over the years that they are the best team on their day, irrespective of any other team. The South African 'Destroyers' come in as the 7th rankers, but the likes of David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen, and Tristan Stubbs will be worth watching.

Sri Lanka are the 8th ranking team. Captain Wanindu Hasaranga and Matheesha Pathirana will be their trump cards in the progression of the cruise. Bangladesh and Afghanistan are the 9th and 10th ranked teams respectively. The likes of Shakib Al Hasan for Bangladesh and Rashid Khan and Karim Janat for Afghanistan will surprise any team on their day.
